Browns Announce the Release of Offensive Lineman Matt McCants

The Browns toady announced they have have released OL Matt McCants with an injury designation. He was placed on the team’s injured reserve list on August 23rd.

McCants went on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in the team’s second preseason game.

He joined the Browns as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He’s appeared in 30 career games with three starts. He sustained an ankle injury against the New York Giants during the team’s second preseason game on Aug. 21.
