Week 14 NEOSI HS Football Player of the Week Results

Week Seven

The fans have spoken and we have a runaway winner for this week’s Player of the Week award. Garnering 82% of the vote, Wiltrell Hartson of the Massillon Tigers is this week’s winner. In their 24-6 regional championship win over Stark County foe Lake, the senior RB put up a career performance. Harston carried the ball 41 times for 179 yards and a touchdown. That performance tied him with Travis McGuire for the single season total yardage record at Massillon. Hartson has a chance to break that record this Friday night as the Tigers (12-1) square off with the Hoban Knights (13-1) in the state semifinals at InfoCision Stadium in Akron.

Congratulations and good luck to our other three candidates as they take the field this weekend with a state championship berth on the line: Lamar Sperling (Hoban), D’Shawntae Jones (Glenville), and Casey Bullock (St. Edward).

State semifinal action kicks off Friday night and numerous area teams are vying for a shot at a state championship.
