Walsh Jesuit Defeats STVM 43-13 – Warriors Rush for Over 400 Yards as Lucas Weaver and Brock Sherman Score Two Touchdowns Each

Walsh Jesuit got off to a quick start on Friday night and did not slow down as they defeated STVM, 43-13.

With 10:25 left in the first quarter Brock Sherman scored on a short touchdown run and the Warriors led 7-0.

Brock Sherman scored his second touchdown of the first quarter with 2:05 left to give the Warriors a 14-0 lead.

STVM made the score 14-7 with 1:48 left in the first quarter on a touchdown run by Donald Johnson.

The Warriors scored again early in the second quarter on a touchdown pass from Keller Moten over the middle to University of Buffalo commit John Keough to give Walsh Jesuit a 20-7 lead with 10:27 left in the second quarter.

 

Walsh Jesuit scored again with 42 seconds left in the second quarter on a short touchdown run by Lucas Weaver to make the score 26-7 going into halftime.  

STVM began the second half with a 68-yard touchdown run by Johnson to make the score 26-13. 

Walsh Jesuit added a field goal to make the score 29-13.

Lucas Weaver then scored on a 21-yard touchdown with a little more than 6 minutes remaining in the third quarter to give Walsh Jesuit a 36-13 lead.

 

Keller Moten scored Walsh Jesuit’s final touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 9-yard touchdown run to make the final score 43-13.

For the game Walsh Jesuit outgained STVM 465-143 total yards. In fact, the Warriors rushed for an incredible 403 yards on 51 carries for an average of 7.9 yards per carry.

In week seven, Walsh Jesuit will face Hoban in a matchup of two of the top teams in the state of Ohio.  Both teams are currently undefeated at 6-0.

STVM will play Ursuline on Friday.
