Tribe Snaps Skid with 5-3 Win Over Giants; 3 Takeaways

3. Production from the Bottom of the Lineup

It hasn’t been a pretty season for Cleveland’s bottom of the lineup, but Monday was a rare exception.

Yan Gomes got the scoring started with a solo shot in the top of the third.

Urshela, who made a big impact with his glove, also delivered at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Cleveland looks to build off this much-needed win on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the three-game set, as Mike Clevinger squares off with Ty Blach. First pitch is set for 10:15 pm ET.
