Seth Jones Activated Off Of The IR; Hannikainen Sent To Cleveland

The Blue Jackets get a huge boost going into tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. The team announced earlier today that defenseman Seth Jones was activated off of the injured reserve. To make room for the returning Jones, Columbus sent down forward Markus Hannikainen to Cleveland. Below is a tweet from Aaron Portzline reporting the transaction.

This is good news for the Monsters, who need a boost offensively. Hannikainen can certainly provide that, as he leads the team in goals with five on the season.
