Results From Day 2 of the Parma Holiday High School Hockey Tournament

PARMA, OHIO – Thursday marked Day 2 of the Parma Holiday Tournament. The round robin tournament awards 2 points for a win and 1 point per period (0.5 points per team if they tie the period). Here’s a recap of the Day 2 action:

Mayfield Wildcats 11, NDCL Lions 5
Antczak (NDCL) – 50 saves
Pawar (NDCL) – 3 goals
E Waynek (NDCL) – 1 assist
Hunter Jeppe (MAY) – 3 goals, 3 assists
Danny Popov (MAY) – 2 goals, 2 assists
Kaden Jeppe (MAY) – 3 goals

Mayfield earned 4.5 round robin tournament points with the win. NDCL earned 0.5 round robin tournament points.

Amherst Comets 11, Brooklyn Hurricanes 1

Jason Edmonds (BKN) – 33 saves
Aaron Wrost (BKN) – 1 goal
Jacob Kramer (AMH) – 2 goals, 5 assists
Thomas Hall (AMH) – 4 goals, 2 assists
Michael Hughes (AMH) – 1 goal, 3 assists

Amherst earned 5 round robin tournament points with the win. The Comets have earned 10 total points and have a clinched a spot in Saturday’s championship game against Parma.

Parma Redmen 7, Holy Name JV Greenwave 1

JJ Light (HN) – 56 saves
Mike Zamiska (HN) – 1 goal
Matt Higginbotham (PAR) – 2 goals, 3 assists
Matt Piech (PAR) – 1 goal, 2 assists
Robert Takacs, Robbie Gudin (PAR) – 2 goals apiece, including a short-handed goal for each player

Parma earned 5 round robin tournament points with the win. The Redmen have earned 10 total points and have a clinched a spot in Saturday’s championship game against Amherst.
