Preview: Plutko Looks to Lead the Indians Over the A’s in Saturday Afternoon Affair

Friday night the Indians offense, as they have done in recent history in Oakland, were not able to do much of anything against the A’s, as they fell in the kickoff of the three-game series by a final of 3-1.

The team was held to six hits by the A’s pitching staff, led by Paul Blackburn, who despite an ERA over eight held the Indians scoreless for 6.1 innings.

Jed Lowrie homered for the A’s, and the team wasted a solid outing by Trevor Bauer, who gave up just two runs over 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts.

The team will look at 44-36 to get back on track as Adam Plutko goes for the Wahoo’s looking for his 5th win of the season.

Here’s a look at this afternoon’s game with a quick preview.

Time: 4:05 p.m.

Starting Pitchers: RHP Adam Plutko (4-1, 4.65 ERA) vs. RHP Edwin Jackson (0-0, 1.50 ERA)
