Preview: Indians Look to Start New Winning Streak Tonight in St.Louis

3. Top Three with a Rare Night Off

As the top three of the order goes for the Tribe, so does the rest of the lineup, and being held in check Monday spelled doom for the Indians overall.

Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley and Jose Ramirez combined to go 1-for-9 with three walks and two K’s in the 4-0 setback, numbers that are not the norm for the guys that get the offense going for the Tribe.

The team as a whole struggled quite a bit against John Gant, who was too much for the Indians to handle and threw seven innings of one-hit ball.

As poorly as Carlos Martinez has thrown in the month of June, it would be nice to see the top three in the Tribe order get back on track tonight in the 8:10pm start.
