PREVIEW: Cavs take on Portland for Isaiah Thomas’ return

3. Righting the ship

As LeBron James said, the team’s west coast road trip was “trash,” that saw them drop three straight games to Golden State, Sacramento and Utah.

Three losses in December are hardly reason to sound alarm bells, but before they head to Boston to take on their Eastern Conference rivals, it would definitely be beneficial to get a win under their belt.

With the return of Thomas, at least there is some extra incentive and excitement to Tuesday night’s game. The Cavs have also been in a groove on their home court, winning the last 12 straight at The Q.
