Kluber Expected To Start On June 1st

Corey Kluber is expected to make his return to the Indians starting rotation on Thursday, June 1, against the Oakland A’s.

Kluber has been on the sidelines for most of May with a lower back strain, and has not made a major league start since May 2 against the Tigers. Through six starts this season, Kluber is 3-2 with a 5.06 ERA.

On Friday, Kluber went five scoreless innings for the Akron RubberDucks.

Josh Tomlin is expected to start tomorrow in the final game against Kansas City. Carlos Carrasco will get the first start against the A’s on Monday, followed by Trevor Bauer on Tuesday and Mike Clevinger on Wednesday.
