Inside the Lines: Who to Take and Not Take This Weekend in College and Pro Football Action

Buffalo Bills

NFL Lines Week 3

Arizona vs. Buffalo
Arizona -4

I picked the Cardinals to make the Super Bowl this season. They looked a lot better last week destroying Tampa Bay which is a better team than Buffalo. They won that one by 33 but only need four this week. The Cardinals secondary is better than the Jets and Buffalo only got going on deep plays. Eliminate those and Arizona’s offense is too much for Buffalo.

Oakland vs. Tennessee
Oakland +1

It seems like everyone has cooled on Oakland way too quick after losing last week despite their good win week one. The defense needs to tighten up some after allowing 34 or more points back to back weeks but the Tennessee offense is not as good as the last two. I don’t see why Oakland is being undermined this week.

Los Angeles vs. Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay -5

The Rams can beat Seattle for whatever reason but nobody else. The offense still stinks and Goff needs to be inserted soon to see if he can turn it around. While Jameis looked like crap last week, coming home instead of traveling to the West Coast can be the change he needs. The Rams still have a strong defense but in what is going to be a low scoring game I would take my money on Tampa Bay to rebound.

San Francisco vs. Seattle
San Francisco +9.5

27.5. That’s the amount of points per game San Francisco is averaging. 15. That’s the amount of points Seattle has scored all season. The Seattle offense is in the dumpster right now and an unhealthy Russell Wilson and no Marshawn Lynch is not making it better. The 49ers have played better than expected and with the way things have gone you would think they can make it a single digit game.

Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia
Pittsburgh -3.5
Over 46.5

We got a rare two pick game for me. Carson Wentz in two weeks has faced the Browns and Bears defense. He gets his first real test in week three against Pittsburgh. Not only does he face a decent defense, but he is going to have to put up points to match the 31 per game Pittsburgh is averaging. That feat might be too much for the young rookie to cover the spread but I still think points will be scored. The Eagles are going to try and match the Steelers production and their secondary is the weakest part of the defense so a higher scoring game is most likely. This is the game I’m most interested in week three.

Last Week NCAAF: 5-2
Last Week NFL: 2-5
Overall NCAAF: 53-40
Overall NFL: 56-41
