Who are Med City FC?
Here are some interesting facts on Cleveland SC’s playoff opponent, Med City FC (MCFC), Friday evening in Michigan.

- They are owned by Frank Spaeth, a former college soccer player and high school and collegiate coach.
- Their regular season championship this year was the first in the club’s history for NPSL North conference.

- At one time this year they were the #1 ranked team in ALL the NPSL.
- Rochester, Minnesota is their home. It is the third largest city in Minnesota.
- Head coach Neil Cassidy is from Manchester, England.
- Their colors are Blue and Green.
- They started as an expansion team in 2017.
- Their fans are called “Sawbones Army.”
- A few of the players have trained with Minnesota United FC of MLS this year.
- They have one of the top scorers in NPSL in Andres Garcia, a local high school product and first year starter for St Cloud State.
- They have a stout defense and don’t allow many goals.
- They are nicknamed the Mayhem.
- One of the top NPSL goalies is Med City’s Iker Gonzalez, from Spain.
- MCFC finished third last year in the North Conference.
- Duluth FC is their main rival and gave MCFC their only loss of the year
