According to a report from ESPN’s Brian Windhurst, Dan Gilbert will meet with Chauncey Billups Tuesday to discuss a front office role following the end of David Griffin’s tenure as general manager in Cleveland.
Billups has a strong relationship with Gilbert from his time in Detroit, and also is close to head coach Tyronn Lue.
It’s unclear what role Billups could be asked to take, but he has no front office experience under his belt.
It’s likely to be a summer of uncertainty in Cleveland and the future is becoming more cloudy by the day.
