Crunch Bites February 18th! Today’s Bites revolve around the big Crunch vs Rapid City match tonight! Enjoy!
Sunday recap! Two touchdowns over Detroit!!
Just like last week in their win over Cincinnati, the Crunch gave up the first goal of the match to Waza and never looked back. It’s almost like they are saying, “Here ya go. We’ll spot you one.”
Two touchdowns later, the boys from the Land finished a 14-3 bashing over Detroit. Admir Suljevic continued his amazing season with three goals and two assists.
Man of the Match
Mc’Cain Spragling had a solid weekend, capped off with the MotM honors! The former Red Dragon from SUNY Cortland is finding a home in Cleveland and with the Crunch. Last weekend saw the Cleveland forward score two goals in Saturday’s win at home over Cincinnati and amassed four points with two goals and two assists in Detroit.

The win was significant because backup net minders Liam McIntosh and Connor Robinson saw playing action.

Crunch VS Rapid City!
With the win the Crunch increased their lead over Grand Rapids, who they battle tonight at 6:30 in Michigan. The last time these two teams met was the opening weekend in January with the Crunch grabbing the win with a 16-9 final.
Grand Rapids is led by Nermin Crnkico, their creative forward. Nermin had finished a stint with the Michigan Bucks of the PDL league and spent time overseas with a Swedish club and most recently FK Sarajevo.
The Michigan squad is hoping to cut the Crunch lead after tonight’s clash. They are coming off a 27-4 demolition of Detroit. The 27 goals is a record for most goals scored in a game in MLIS history!

Since their last meeting, Rapid City FC has added a few new faces to their squad. Daire O’Riordan and Elmedin Zukic joined Alex Mendez to give the squad big time power. Mendez is coming off an amazing, record-setting performance in a 9 point, 6 goal weekend! What a way to start your MLISPro career!
