The Cleveland Browns and the entire National Football League had until 4:00 p.m. to cut down to a 53-man roster. The Browns made 20 total transactions to meet the NFL deadline.

* The team did not announce the release of Michael Palardy but after Colquitt signed today there is no need for another punter.
Trade:
The Browns traded their former first-round draft pick Justin Gilbert to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers gave away a sixth-round draft pick in the 2018 NFL draft and received arguably one of the worst cornerbacks on the Browns roster. Hopefully Gilbert can turn his game around in the Steel City, only time will tell.
