Carrasco K’s 10, Moves to 7-4 as Indians Sweep Brewers with 3-1 Win; Three Takeaways

3. Show Us Some Speed

The Indians by in large are not a threatening team on the base paths, but Wednesday it was one Indians player primarily getting a chance to play that caused havoc with his speed.

That player was Rajai Davis, who hitting in the nine hole went 2-for-3 with a walk, and three steals in the 3-1 win.

His steal in the fifth got the team going, and he scored when Michael Brantley beat the shift and hit a roller past short, just off the glove of infielder Eric Sogard.

Now with 11 steals on the year, Davis leads the team by a four steal margin over Jose Ramirez, and he’s again making it tough to think about him not being on the this roster once injured players Brandon Guyer and Tyler Naquin return.
