WESTLAKE, OHIO– The Berea-Midpark Titans beat the North Olmsted Eagles, 63-7, in a game that was over before the first quarter ended.

The scoring started early for the Titans, as it took only two offensive plays for Berea-Midpark to score when junior quarterback Trevor Bycznski threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Dwayne Holland.

The next Titan drive ended after Bycznski ran in a touchdown from the 1 yard line giving Berea-Midpark a 14-0 lead with 5:52 left in the first quarter.

What came next was simply unbelievable, as Bycznski threw a four-yard touchdown pass.

North Olmsted looked to gain some momentum with the first offensive play of the drive, the Eagles fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the Titans.

Fourteen seconds later, Bycznski threw another touchdown pass from 13 yards out.

After a Jabriel Williams touchdown run making the score 35-0, North Olmsted quarterback Liam Fay threw an interception to give the Titans the ball with 42 seconds left in the first quarter.

Bycznski then threw a 23-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the drive.

That would end the scoring for the first quarter giving Berea-Midpark a 42-0 lead.

North Olmsted scored on the first play of the second quarter courtesy of an Owen Juhn 40-yard touchdown run to bring the score to 42-7, but the Titans came right back with yet another Bycznski touchdown pass to make it 49-7.

Bycznski finished the night 18-of-26 with five touchdown passes.

Along with his passing performance, Bycznski also ran for 34 yards on five carries scoring three touchdowns on the ground.

“I thought he played pretty well,” Berea-Midpark head coach Jon Hunek said after the win.

“I thought he took a big step from last week, he did a great job of being coachable this week, he really responded well. I thought he was the catalyst for us early in the game, he had an excellent game again and when he plays well we’re a tough team to beat and he played well today.”

The Titans went into halftime with a commanding 49-7 lead, and the third quarter started with a running clock.

On the first drive of the second half, Bycznski ran in another touchdown making the score 56-7.

Bycznski ran in his final touchdown from 18 yards out less than a minute into the fourth quarter making it 63-7 and that would be all for the scoring.

Berea-Midpark (4-5) will play undefeated Avon next week and will look to spoil the Eagles’ perfect season.

“I think we’ve got a shot at it, they’re a heck of a football team and Coach Elder has done a heck of a job over there, but the way our kids played today I think we have a shot against anyone,” said Hunek.

North Olmsted (4-5) will travel to rival Olmsted Falls (8-1) and will look to hurt their playoff ranking.
