Bainbridge Tosses No-Hitter in Stow’s sectional semifinal win over Youngstown East

Sophomore pitcher Evan Bainbridge was nearly perfect in Stow’s 16-0 shutout win over Youngstown East on May 11.

Bainbridge finished the day with 12 strikeouts, no hits allowed, and one walk in five innings.

Stow’s offense erupted for a 12-run second inning and its defense did not commit an error on the day.

Junior first baseman Eric Schilling had a big day at the plate, driving in five runs, and the Bulldogs recorded 14 hits as a team.

Stow, the #6 seed in the Struthers District travels to face #3 Boardman on Friday, May 12 in a Division I sectional final.
