Passerrello spent the last seven seasons coaching at Firelands, where he led the Falcons to a playoff berth (8-3) in 2015 and a 7-3 record in 2016.
Amherst went 3-7 in 2016.
As of Jan. 26, Wellington, Firelands, and Oberlin are in the process of finding new head coaches in Lorain County.
