UPDATE: Ellet Coach Joe Yost Remains In Hospital For Testing After Passing Out On Sidelines

Akron, OH- Former longtime Akron Ellet Head Football coach Joe Yost who was taken from the field by ambulance last night was admitted to the hospital for testing. Yost had been experiencing dizziness and lightheartedness on the sidelines.

A former Longtime time teacher and cheerleading advisor spoke to Coach Yost today and according to her post on Facebook, the coach said he was feeling better and being tested to see if they could find the cause of his dizzy spells.

Yost was the head coach for the Orangemen for 38 years and is the school’s all time winningest coach in school history. He retired after the 2016 and stayed on staff to be the teams defensive coordinator. Our continued thoughts and prayers go out to the Yost family.

The original story was posted last night, and you can view it here.
