The Cleveland Guardians today announced Cleveland Heights native and three-time Super Bowl Champion Travis Kelce has joined the Guardians as an investor. Kelce grew up a Cleveland baseball fan and was very excited at the opportunity to become a minority owner.
Kelce and fiancé Taylor Swift recently attended the Cavs Eastern conference finals game. His love for the city and Cleveland sports teams has always been apparent.

Kelce spoke on the announcement saying,
“Everyone knows how much love I have for this city, so to have the opportunity to come back and join the Guardians’ ownership group is the coolest thing in the world. I’ve always looked for ways to support and uplift my hometown, so I can’t wait to keep sharing the love and the passion I have for sports and this community as we look to bring a World Series title back to the Land.”
Paul Dolan, Guardians Chairman and Chief Executive Officer noted that Kelce was a good fit stating, “Travis Kelce knows what it takes to win at the highest levels and he’s exemplified that throughout his playing career and in the way he shows up as a community leader and businessman.”
Kelce elaborated on his new ownership stake and this exciting new venture on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce. That episode can be heard, here. He will also be in-park to celebrate on Sunday, June 14 when the Guardians take on the Detroit Tigers. Tickets are still available at CLEGuardians.com/tickets.
