Titans Lead Browns 6-3 At Halftime; Three Takeaways From The First Half

3. Stupid Mistakes- The one thing that has truly hurt the Browns has been before the ball has been snapped. The Browns have had seven penalties for forty-six penalty yards in the first half, something that is not going to help win this game. They also have had some really questionable calls from Hue Jackson, including Jackson declining a fifteen-yard offensive facemask penalty on Taylor Lewan that would have made it 3rd and 15 for Tennessee. Jackson’s declining of the penalty put the Titans back into field goal range, and a Danny Shelton offsides penalty gave the Titans an automatic first down off of the blunder on fourth down.

This isn’t the first time the Browns have hurt themselves with the yellow flag and also not the first time that Hue Jackson has made some confusing decisions. The Browns need to clean up what happens before and after the ball is snapped.
