Titans Lead Browns 6-3 At Halftime; Three Takeaways From The First Half

1. Kizer Not Dazzling, But Effective- DeShone Kizer regained the starting job this week for the Cleveland Browns, just one week after being benched for third-stringer Kevin Hogan. According to Hue Jackson, Kizer learned a lot from the sideline last week in Houston.

Today, Kizer hasn’t delivered any jaw-dropping plays that fans expected when he was named the starter at the beginning of the year. But something that has been good for the young quarterback today is the fact that he has allowed only one takeaway to a very good Titans defense. Kizer has gone 9-11 with 67 passing yards and an interception so far, giving him a completion percentage of 81%. Kizer has looked poised and has made decisions quicker than he did earlier in the season, so progress is apparently being made. The one thing that has hurt him has been the red-zone interceptions, as he thre another one today to end a promising drive near the end of the first half.

We’ll see if he can lead the Browns to a strong second half in hopes of a victory.
