Tallmadge Crowned State Champions with 4-0 Win Over Dayton Chaminade Julienne

The Tallmadge Blue Devils were crowned Division II State Champions, shutting out Dayton Chaminade Julienne, 4-0, in the Division II final on Saturday, June 3.

Jared Burick went 6.1 innings, striking out five, allowing two hits and issuing three walks.

Mikah McGlaughlin closed it out to give Tallmadge its second baseball state championship victory, the first since 2002.

First baseman Scott Seeker went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI.

Shortstop Phillip Glasser went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Right fielder Seth Gergely went 0-for-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly.

Second baseman Jake Rensel with 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Catcher Rich Eyre went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
