Shaker Heights Defeats Mentor 4-0

CLEVELAND, Ohio- It was the second high school hockey game at The Q this season, as Shaker Heights and Mentor prepared to do battle.

Shaker Heights would score first on an opening in the slot, as Chris Strnisha would attack the slot and score off of a rebound attempt at the 7:48 mark of the first period. Dylan Shelton would make it 2-0 after he scored with 10 seconds remaining in the period. Shaker Heights outshot Mentor 18-4 in the first fifteen minutes of action.

After a scoreless second frame where Shaker Heights outshot Mentor 13-3 and killed two penalties, they would score twice more in the third. The first goal was off of a Ben Schneiberg shot attempt at the 2:07 mark. The second came just two minutes later from Keenan O’Toole to finish out a 4-0 win.
