Ohio State Defensive Tackle Tracy Sprinkle Likely Out for Season with Patellar Tendon Injury

Ohio State redshirt junior defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle exited Saturday’s season opener against Bowling Green in the first quarter with an apparent leg injury.

Sprinkle is a graduate of Elyria High School. class of 2013, and was expected to play a key role in the Buckeyes’ defensive line in 2016.

After the game, head coach Urban Meyer announced that Sprinkle is likely to undergo season-ending surgery for the right patellar tendon injury.
