New Browns Interim Coach Gregg Williams Speaks to the Media for the First Time – 5 Takeaways

New Browns interim head coach Gregg Williams took the stand today for the first time as the ‘official’ head coach of the team, taking over for Hue Jackson who was fired Monday, a day after the team was dismantled 33-18 in Pittsburgh by the Steelers.

Sitting at 2-5-1, the road for the Browns doesn’t get any easier, as Sunday they play host to the 7-1 Kansas City Chiefs, who have, under new QB Pat Mahomes, been putting up big numbers all season long.

Williams’ defense will have a lot to say about how things go on Sunday against the Chiefs, but now he’s also got to have a hand in the teams’ offense, a unit that against the Steelers was ineffective after the team led early in the game 6-0.

Here’s a couple takeaways from the Wednesday’s first presser with Williams, and just what he had to say to the Cleveland media for the first time running the show in Berea.
