NEOSI’s Sleepers For 2018 NFL Draft

DT BJ Hill NC State

The Wolfpack defensive line was so good that Hill misses out on a lot of credit. His play strength is one of his weaknesses and you’d like to see him build up some lower body strength but he’s got speed, agility, and upper body strength for a one gap tackle. At 315 pounds he ran a sub 5.00 40 and was up there with some of the pass rushers in the agility drills as a defensive tackle. His 35 reps of 225 pounds also put him third among the lineman. Ignore his declining numbers at NC State because the talent around him got better at a position where stats won’t match the level of production a lot of times. Hill is an athletic big guy in the middle that can grow into becoming a force with the right coaching.
