NEOSI Top 10 NBA Power Rankings for November 16th

The past week of basketball may have shown the true colors of some teams we overrated and some teams we might have slept on at the beginning of the season.

Without further adieu, it’s this week’s installment of the top ten power rankings. Who will rise and who will fall?

1. Golden State Warriors (11-0)
Last Week: 1

The Warriors are four games away from tying the NBA record for best start to a season (15-0).

The 48-49 Washington Capitals (respect if you knew that team existed) and the 93-94 Houston Rockets are the two teams tied for that record.

The way Golden State is playing they may very well make history.

Anyone who is questioning the greatness of Steph Curry or his team is just in denial.

2. San Antonio Spurs (7-2)
Last Week: 4

It appears the Spurs dynasty is far from over. First it was David Robinson handing the keys over to Tim Duncan. Now it’s Duncan handing them to Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Leonard is putting up the best offensive numbers of his career.

Aldridge is fitting in better with each game.

It’s amazing how their style of play has hardly changed even though some of the faces have.

Anything other than a Spurs-Warriors Conference Final would be a surprise at this point.
