My Browns Top 3 OC Candidates

Zac Robinson – Rams Pass Game Cord. // Quarterbacks

Robinson, who has led the Rams passing attack serving as the Pass Game Coordinator & Quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons. He has served in multiple capacities with the team (Rams) since his coaching debut in 2019. He helped guide the Rams passing attack to a Superbowl LVI and QB Matthew Stafford had one of his consistent seasons as a pro! In my opinion, the Browns need to look for someone who is young and comes from an offensive background which Robinson does. Learning from one of the best offensive minds in football (Sean McVay) Robinson could bring a unique perspective to the team and the offense going forward. Having someone who understands what an explosive offense looks like could really benefit the team and it can really open up our offense for our playmakers!

Dan Pitcher – Bengals Quarterbacks Coach

Taking a coach off of your division rivals’ staff is something very unlikely! Pitcher would provide the Browns & franchise QB Deshaun Watson with a wealth of experience and knowledge that could really benefit the offense as a whole. During his time as the QB’s coach of the Bengals, Pitcher turned rival Joe Burrow into a top 10 quarterback when healthy. His name has been brought up plenty of times already this off-season and is a very hot candidate to be promoted elsewhere. The Browns are looking to get more 11 personnel on the field and open up the offense and Pitcher is a guy who can do just that!

Tim Kelly – Titans Offensive Coordinator

Kelly, who has been coaching in the NFL for 15 seasons, mostly a part of the Houston Texans, is widely respected around the league for what he did in 2019 and 2020 with now Browns QB Deshaun Watson, in Houston. Having someone familiar with Watson can help the Browns develop a playbook that fits around HIM, which didn’t happen at all last season. Kelly’s units have always been tailored well to the QB’s they’ve been designed for, in 2020 under Kelly’s guidance Watson threw for 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns and 7 interceptions and was selected to play in his third pro bowl that season. Having someone with prior knowledge of our franchise QB would be the icing on the cake for this offense!
