The OHSAA Division II and Division III Golf State Championship Golf Tournaments were held on October 13th and 14th.
The OHSAA Division II Golf State Championship was held at Northstar Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio and the OHSAA Division III Boys Golf State Championship was held at Ohio State University on the Scarlet Course.
Mark Pillar, a senior from Independence High School, won the OHSAA Division III Boys Golf Individual State Championship.

In addition to competing in golf during the Fall, Pillar is currently a forward on the Independence Boys Soccer team.
In winning the state championship, Pillar had a two day total of 146 to win the state championship by two strokes over Alex Eckstein from Cardinal Mooney.

Siena Maschke, a senior from Laurel, won the OHSAA Division II Girls Golf Individual State Championship.
Maschke shot a two day total of 143 to win the Individual State Championship by seven strokes.
Northeast Ohio girls golf teams finishing in the top ten in the Division II State Championships included St. Vincent-St. Mary (4th- Raygan Hoover, Rylee Hoover, Reese Latta, Caitrin Coyle, Mia Ross), Independence (5th – Molly McGreal, Macey McGhee, Adriann Buyansky, Maria DeCapua, Callie Shumay), and Laurel (6th- Siena Maschke, Jade Gladue, Liliana Embrescia, Elizabeth Weingart, Stella Kronstain)
In addition to Pillar and Maschke winning Individual State Championships, Warren JFK golfers Mark LaPolla, Andrew Fredenburg, Henry Phillips, Bryce Vanhorn, and Julian Bolino won the Division III Team State Championship.
Also, finishing in the top ten individually from Northeast Ohio in Division III Boys Golf was Rocco Turner who finished fifth.
In the Division II OHSAA Boys Golf State Championship, as a team the Chagrin Falls Boys Golf Team finished in fourth place (Sven Nielsen, Charlie Pollock, John Catney, Oliver Tepper, Jack Watson).
Individually, Chagrin Falls golfer Sven Nielsen finished seventh in the state.
The OHSAA Division I Boys and Girls Golf State Championships will be held on October 20 and 21st at the Ohio State University Golf courses.
