Lake County Wins Pitching Duel with Bowling Green in 1-0 Victory: Three Takeaways From the Win

1. An Ice Breaker

Lake County catcher Logan Ice came up with the best chance of the night for the Captains, and was able to break through in the 6th inning, hitting a single to right with two outs to drive in the only run of the night.

“He Just fell behind and I was just trying to put the ball in play hard,” Ice said. “Looking for a fastball and I got it and put a good swing on it.”

Ice not only caught a good game, but also had the big hit, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and he’s now hitting .259 on the season.

The catcher was the 72nd overall selection of the 2016 MLB draft by the Indians.
