Indians Shortstop Francisco Lindor Earns First Career AL Player Of The Week

It’s a week that Francisco Lindor will always remember in his professional baseball career, as the Cleveland Indians shortstop has earned his first career AL Player Of The Week. The honors recognize Lindor’s strong showing during the week of April 29th.

During that span, Lindor batted .425 with four home runs and 10 runs batted in. However, Lindor isn’t necessarily too happy with himself over the last week’s results.

That especially rings true in Sunday’s game against the New York Yankees, where Lindor had a rare blunder in the field with a double-error that gave the Bronx Bombers the lead for good. But it’s surely not a reoccurring problem with Lindor, making it easy to relax for the Tribe going forward in that regard.
