Indians Place RP Andrew Miller on 10-Day DL, Call Up Tyler Olson

The difficult season for Indians relief pitcher Andrew Miller continued on Wednesday, as the team placed him on the 10-day DL with n external impingement in his left shoulder.

The latest trip to the disabled list is already the third this season for Miller, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.

This season Miller is 2-3 with a 3.38 ERA making 27 appearances for the Tribe.

He’s allowed nine earned runs in 24 innings pitched, striking out 33 and walking 13.

He was activated from the DL back on August 3rd. He was placed on the DL in May, with the hopes that he would be shut down until he was healthy enough to come back to the team and be able to pitch for the remainder of the season.

With Miller on the DL, the team brought back relief pitcher Tyler Olson, who is 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA for the Indians, pitching in 20 innings this season for the team.
