Indians Hitting Coach Matt Quatraro Encouarged with Michael Brantley’s Progress

Today Jordan Bastian, Indians reporter for broke the news that Indians outfielder Michael Brantley, was hitting off a tee this morning. As seen in the tweet above, Brantley is ahead of the pace compared to where he was last offseason when he first underwent shoulder surgery.

Brantley in the 2016 season came back around April but only played in 11 games for the whole season. His season finally ended in August when it was clear that a second surgery would be necessary.

Brantley went through multiple solutions that included a cortisone shot, misdiagnosis from doctors, getting different opinions hoping to get the correct one and to top it all off spending a lot of time on the Disabled List.
