Indians Extend Their Win Streak to 13 Games, Three Takeaways from 9-4 Victory

2.) Jose Ramirez and Greg Allen Offensive Combo

Jose Ramirez continued on his roll in tonight’s game. Ramirez hit his first home run of the night in the first inning and in the very next inning he hit his second homer of the night.

Ramirez is coming off of being named American League Player of the Week. Ramirez was 15-29, having a batting average of .517, and had 12 extra base hits.

Ramirez accounted for 2 out of the teams 9 runs. One of the September call-ups Greg Allen accounted for another 2 when he hit a 2 run double in the 3rd inning.

Allen spent his 2017 season with the Akron RubberDucks playing in 71 games, batting .264/.344/.357 , and stole 21 bases. Allen is not known to be a power guy only managing to hit 2 homers in AA.

Allen so far since getting called up is 3-13 but is getting the experience and helping out the team especially with the go-ahead runs in the third inning.

The Indians scored outside of Ramirez and Allen also with a Jackson homer in the first, mentioned previously, and a Brandon Guyer fielders choice with the bases loaded in the first.

In the top of the 9th inning, Yan Gomes added some insurance runs following a 3-run homer with two outs.
