Indians 2B Jason Kipnis Ready to Return Friday in Chicago and Make 2017 Debut

Cleveland Indians second basemen Jason Kipnis is back, and according to Indians radio announcer Tom Hamilton he’s traveling to Chicago to be a part of the team for their weekend series against the Chicago White Sox.

Kipnis has yet to take the field for the Tribe in 2017, and was shut down for a few weeks with an inflamed shoulder back on March 19th.

Last season he hit a career-high 23 homers to go along with a .275 average with 82 runs batted in.

The Indians will play three against the White Sox before coming home to start a homestand against the Houston Astros on Tuesday after an off day on Monday.
