E.J. Gaines heads to concussion protocol

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns entered Week 7 extremely short-handed with players like LB Joe Schobert (hamstring), WR Rashard Higgins (knee), and center JC Tretter (ankle) dealing with injuries. Head coach Hue Jackson said that the he is hoping all those players will be able to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Now, another player was put on the injury report this morning . Defensive back E.J. Gaines was put in the concussion protocol. The Browns secondary is already reeling  with DB Terrance Mitchell out right now with an injury. The Browns are +3.5 underdogs as of right now, but with another key player out for the Browns, that line will more than likely rise. Gaines isn’t officially out but since he was put in protocol this late. He will most likely miss the game on Sunday.

Tampa Bay is 2-3 on the season. The Browns are 2-3-1 on the season. Cleveland is coming off their worse loss on the season last week verse the Los Angeles Chargers.
