Former-Cavaliers head coach David Blatt has accepted a championship ring from the franchise, which fired him mid-season in the run to the 2016 NBA Finals

The decision to fire Blatt caused controversy throughout the NBA and several coaches spoke out in his defense in the days following the announcement.
Of course the Cavs can’t regret that decision, based on the outcome, but this gesture shows how much the franchise still respects Blatt and how much class he displayed throughout the ordeal.
Some in his position may have taken to the media to air out dirty laundry or complain of mistreatment, but Blatt did not go that route and has been coaching overseas in Turkey.
Not too many international coaches can boast of having an NBA ring and Blatt certainly did his part in his two seasons in Cleveland to help mold the team.
