by Eli Dobben

The Copley Indians played at home on Friday night against the Barberton Magics and improved to 4-1 on the season with a 76-58 win.

The Magics came into the game with a 2-3 record, but played a well fought game. The top scorers for the Magics were Garret Turnbaugh and Jordan Greynolds. Greynolds finished the game with 12 points, and Garret Turnbagh finished with 16.

Even with these two scoring, the Magics were not able to stop the fast-paced scoring of the Indians of Copley. Copley finished the game with multiple lead scores. Brian Roberts led all scorers with 25 points, while Isaiah Rogers finished the game with 11 points, Diamond Jones had 12 points, and Sam Emich with 13.

Following the game, Copley head coach Mark Dente said that, “It’s always nice to beat a program like Barberton.”
