Cavs extend win streak to 5 games with win over Nets; 3 takeaways

1. LeBron’s afternoon as he hits another milestone

After the game was over, LeBron James said in an interview with FSO’s Allie Clifton that he got about three hours of sleep on Saturday night because of the schedule changes he had to make for an earlier-than-normal game, and the fact that he is under the weather.

Watching him play, however, you would never guess that, as James finished with a game-high 37 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

With just over six minutes remaining in the game, the Cavs trailed the Nets, 100-99. As James checked back in, they went on a 10-0 run and never looked back. With less than a minute remaining, James iced the game with a dagger 3-pointer to put the Cavs up, 119-111.

James also hit another milestone on Sunday, surpassing 2,000 points for the season. He’s just the third player in NBA history to score 2,000 points in a single season at least 10 times, joining Karl Malone (12) and Michael Jordan (11).
