Cavs Evan Mobley Shines in Rising Stars Challenge

Evan Mobley was chosen 3rd in the Rising Stars draft by Joakim Noah. The former NBA All-Star Noah took Mobley early for Team Joakim. As a rookie, Mobley had also played in this event last year.

Honorary coaches are Pau Gasol, Deron Williams, Joakim Noah and Jason Terry. The Rising Stars Challenge kicks off the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Team Joakim faced off against Team Jason and won 40-32. With the victory Team Joakim met Team Pau in the final round. Mobley finished with 8 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists in Game One. He also made it on the highlight reel with this dunk:

Mobley didn’t have as much involment in the Final Game. Team Pau won 25-20 over Team Joakim.

The Rising Stars three-game mini tournament format

All three games played to a Final Target Score, which means the game ends on a made basket or free throw rather than time expiring.

The two semifinal games , Game 1 and Game 2,  played to a Final Target Score of 40.

The final game, featuring the winners, played to a Final Target Score of 25 to determine the tournament champion.
