The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Friday Kay Felder has been sent to the Canton Charge.
Reports surfaced Thursday Deron Williams is expected to sign with the Cavaliers once he clears waivers, which could be as early as Saturday. The decision to send Felder to Canton could be related to the possibility of Williams signing in Cleveland, as he would take the backup point guard role.
This is the third time Felder has been sent to Canton and according to Joe Vardon, it’s likely the team will call him back up for Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. He’ll play in Friday’s game in Canton against the Delaware 87ers at 7 pm.
