Cavaliers Have Tribute Video Ready for LeBron James in His Return to Cleveland Wednesday Night

In a season that has yet to see many memorable moments for the Cavaliers as of yet may take a turn on Wednesday when they welcome an old friend into town for the only time this season.

LeBron James and his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers, will be at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night, and’s Chris Fedor is reporting that the Cavs are planning a tribute video for the former star forward from Akron.

The video, which is a way for the organization to say thank you for 11 great seasons, is slated to run early.

In his most recent four-year stint with the Cavaliers, James solidified his legacy by guiding the team to four straight NBA Finals trips, including one memorable championship in 2016 that ended Cleveland’s 52-year title drought.

During the 2016 NBA Finals, James averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.3 blocks, earning MVP honors while helping Cleveland become the first team in history to rally from a 3-1 deficit.

No one is expecting the same response that James got back in his first game back in Cleveland in 2010 when he was a member of the Miami Heat, a night when the fans took out frustration as well as anger at their home grown son who left the team for South Beach.

This time around, the response is expected to be a lot different, with the video part of the celebration of James’ long pair of careers with the Cavaliers.
