Brunswick has a new Week 4 opponent… Again

Okay everyone, those who are confused about Brunswick’s varsity football schedule, raise your hand!

If you have a copy of the schedule that was handed out over the summer, you can officially throw it away, and I’ll explain everything. It’s a little confusing so pay close attention.

Brunswick was supposed to host Collinwood in Week 3, but Collinwood accidentally double booked their schedule, as they also scheduled a game against Rocky River, so that left Brunswick without a Week 3 opponent.

Brunswick was able to get Shaker Heights to move their game at Brunswick to Week 3 instead of Week 4, so now the Blue Devils were in need of a Week 4 opponent.

John Hay high school stepped up to claim the empty Week 4 slot, but eventually pulled out of the scheduled game for unknown reasons. Again, Brunswick was without a Week 4 game, until now.

Brunswick’s new Week 4 opponent? The Canada Prep Academy Raiders! Who you ask? Canada Prep is an all boys school in Welland, Ontario. The school is the only school in the country that specializes in American football and travels to the United States every week to play against American teams.

Canada Prep will play at Brunswick on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
