Browns Trade Tight End Randall Telfer To Chiefs For Linebacker Dadi Nicolas

The Cleveland Browns have traded away tight end Randall Telfer to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. In return, Cleveland will receive linebacker Dadi Nicolas.

Telfer, who was a 2016 sixth-round draft selection, played in thirty games and started nineteen of them. During that time span, he brought in five passes for a total of forty yards and zero touchdowns. The former USC Trojan served primarily as a pass-blocker which explains his low statistics. But with veteran Darren Fells being signed in the off-season, Telfer’s days were numbered.

Nicolas was Kansas City’s sixth-round pick in that same 2016 NFL Draft. The second-year linebacker missed all of last season after being placed on the PUP list in July. In 2016, Nicholas appeared in eleven games but didn’t record a tackle, interception, or sack.
