Browns Release DB Reynolds, DL Johnson

The Cleveland Browns have released Defensive Lineman Cam Johnson and Defensive Back Ed Reynolds II.

The two started a combined 16 games for the Browns last season.

Here is the full statement from the team:

“BEREA, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of DL Cam Johnson and waived DB Ed Reynolds II with an injury designation.

Johnson played in 12 games with nine starts in 2016.

He recorded 29 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.

Reynolds appeared in 10 games with seven starts last season.

He registered 40 tackles and one sack.

Reynolds suffered a knee injury during practice on July 29.”

The team will be cutting more players between the final preseason game on Thursday and the first regular season game on Sunday September 10th.
