Browns Ink Former Brush Arcs TE Pharaoh Brown to the Active Roster

The Browns have inked a local product to their active roster, as Tuesday the team announced they have signed TE Pharaoh Brown to the team from the practice squad.

In addition, the team signed RB Devante Mays to the practice squad. The Browns also waived LB James Burgess Jr. from injured reserve.

Brown is 6-6, 258 pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Oregon. Originally signed by Oakland as an undrafted free agent in 2017, Brown appeared in two games with the Raiders in 2017.

He spent the past four weeks on the Browns’ practice squad. Brown is a native of Lyndhurst, Ohio and attended Brush High School where he plaed with the Arcs. He will wear No. 86 when he’s on the field for the team hopefully this Sunday against the Steelers.

Mays is 5-11, 237 pounds and in his second NFL season out of Utah State. Originally selected by Green Bay in the seventh round of the 2017 draft, Mays appeared in eight games as a rookie. He is a native of Livingston, Texas.
