Browns defense holds strong as Cleveland shuts down Cardinals

Photo via Cleveland Browns

In this week 9 Matchup the Cleveland Browns beat the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 27-0. Cleveland’s Defense looked amazing while allowing less than 100 yards of offense for Arizona.

Offense

Deshaun Watson seemingly is fully recovered from his shoulder injury as he came out this week slinging the ball around. He threw for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns and was subbed out in the 4th quarter against the Cardinals. He completed some big passes downfield today and looked to be able to drive the ball comfortably as well. Amari Cooper had a Big game with 5 receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown.

Defense

The Brown’s defense was lights out, Boasting a forced fumble, 7 sacks, and 2 interceptions this week and not allowing a single score. Being able to have a strong defensive outing moving into next week’s game against the Ravens is big for the momentum we have.

Moving forward

In the next two weeks, the Browns play the Ravens and the Steelers which are two very important games where if we win both we could take the lead in the division for the first time this year. Being able to win these games would almost certainly secure a playoff spot for the Browns. With Watson coming off of a good return game we can hope to see him play well against the Ravens.
