All needs to be better in my old neighborhood

Such a beautiful day however since the #MunchOnSports mantra is “People helping people” I need to address something that came my way NUMEROUS times this morning as misinformation and wrong information was being spewed over the radio airwaves or whatever way you consume my beloved media and I need to address what was said by a veteran announcer who apparently lacked prep time today and felt anything he said would be taken at his word. WRONG! Shucks he has a producer and a sidekick! As noted I received DM’s, texts and even a few calls about some wrong and lack of 411 concerning Ohio State Football. No doubt I am the preeminent Ohio State Buckeyes North Coast homer, honk, and shill but I do speak the truth when it comes to praise, malfeasance, and proper information.

Here was the proper information and the blather plus lack of knowledge that was put forth (in parenthesis):

* TreVeyon Henderson is full speed ahead. OSU’s #1 back and biggest breakaway threat after missing the last 3 games (The Host did not know Henderson was coming back).

* The other running backs (#2 and #3 on the depth chart) have been hurt off and on this season. 4th string back Dallan Hayden has been the only healthy back but Ryan Day desires to Red Shirt him. (The host had knowledge of the 2nd and 3rd back being hurt.)

* #2 QB Devin Brown was injured, not hurt, in last week’s game and was carted off to the locker room. Of course, he is in the goal line package. (Again, there was no mention of this injury and only talk about using him.)

* Not breaking news but your back up QB’s for Saturday vs the Badgers are Lincoln Kienholz (running the scout team), and 3rd stringer is Tristan Gebbia.

* Fun note – DE Jack Sawyer, all 6’4″ 265 pounds of him noted “Devin Brown wears #33, so do I SO use me in short yardage situations!

OK…there you go and yes, I feel much better! Time to rake some leaves before I head to Westlake High School for the Demons vs the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Bees 1st round football playoff game 7p kick off at UH St. John Medical Center Stadium Lou Duchez Field. Hope to see you, meet you, greet you there!

As always take care of yourself and others plus not more than ever, it’s your world, pay attention. Enjoy every sandwich and for now, ADIOS AMIGO, long may you run!
